After Your Surgery

Please following the follow guidelines following your surgical procedure. If you have any questions or any complications arise from your surgery, contact the surgery center.

After your procedure, you must be accompanied and driven home by a responsible adult if you have anesthesia or IV sedation. If you have ONLY local (no IV drugs), you may drive yourself home. You will be discharged when you recover from the effects of your procedure and any medications you received. It is normal to feel weak and drowsy, so you must have a responsible adult with you for at least 12 hours (preferably 24 hours) after your procedure.

Please make proper arrangements to not travel by air or participate in activities out in the sun or heat while your dressing or cast is still on post-operatively.
